Happy New Year

by Nola on January 4, 2017

Hey Everyone! The past month flew by as I got involved up to my elbows in all-things-holiday. We had a busy and wonderful Christmas week, with three separate dinner celebrations, and of course the Christmas morning festivities. I always set out a finger food buffet for Christmas day. We all nibble as we chat, watch movies, and get the turkey ready. This year, at my younger son’s request, my famous meat balls in sweet and sour sauce were the star of the buffet. I also made a cheese cake from my never-fail recipe. For 2017, one of my goals is to adapt that recipe to a low carb-version. I went off my ketogenic eating regimen for two days at Christmas. I have to say it felt good to get back to it. Sugar no longer agrees with me.

There weren’t a lot of packages under the tree for me this year, and that was just fine. The holiday is more about getting together with loved ones and friends, sharing food, sharing memories, and making plans for the new year.

For ¬†myself, I set a specific writing goal: ¬†to finish Making Merri and shop for an agent for the Everfield Series. I have a specific agent in mind and a specific publisher I’m aiming for. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

What about you? Any resolutions for 2017 you’d care to share? Feel free to post yours in the comments.

Wishing everyone a year of prosperity, glowing health and lots of love. Thanks for stopping by.
