Off to a Great Start

Doshia Xmas 2014Hey there! Thanks for stopping in today. There’s not much going on for me this first week of January of 2015. All the holiday paraphernalia has been boxed up for another year, and my house looks kind of drab in the pale January light. Here’s a pic of one of my four cats, Doshia. She “helped” me take down the tree garland. As you can see, she wasn’t very happy when it disappeared into its ziplock baggie.

Later this week I’ll be getting together online with my two writing buddies, Kaylie Newell and Amy Lamont. We’ll be sharing our goals for the year and hopefully planning to meet in person sometime soon. Although Kaylie and I live only about five hours apart here in the Pacific Northwest, and have met for gab sessions a few times, Amy lives in New York. We keep saying this year we’ll finally all meet up. Fingers crossed.

Currently, I’m working on a short story for an anthology for my publisher, Beachwalk Press. The story has no title yet, but it’s about a heroine who is a pet psychic medium and a no-nonsense firefighter who thinks she has a screw or two loose. I think that sounds like fun from the get-go.

I hope you’re having a great week. Feel free to leave a comment, even if it’s just to share what’s going on in your day. I love to hear from readers.
